Our Tradespersons register contains details of many tradespeople. These people are not employed by us however they have been vetted by us and subscribe to our code of practice. Trades covered include builders, plumbers, electricians and other services ranging from upholstery to gardening.

Every year we renew their Age Concern Bristol identification, and we receive feedback from their Age Concern customers.

We have produced a leaflet which gives advice on what you should do when you need to employ someone, as well as things you should avoid. This is available from us free, by sending us your name and address.

How can you access this service?

We give you the names and telephone numbers of local tradespeople who are able to undertake the work you want. You contact them independently and they give you a quotation for the work. Contact Practical Services.

How much does it cost?

We make no charge for passing the tradespeople's details to you.

The tradespeople will charge you for the work you need doing, but that figure will depend upon what it is you want. Part of our Code of Practice is that a written quotation will be given for the work, so you will know what the cost is likely to be before you decide whether to go ahead or not.
