Volunteering

Women on green What is Volunteering?

We are an independent Bristol based charity which relies heavily on the goodwill of local people though volunteering and donations to continue our work.

Why Volunteer?

  • Do the things you're good at
  • Develop new skills
  • Gain experience, while helping others at the same time
  • Involvement with the local community
  • Make new friends
  • A sense of personal achievement
  • Be part of a team - making a difference

Volunteering helps you maintain an active and fulfilling life or actively gain experience for your vocational future.

Who Volunteers?

We are always looking for people of all ages and backgrounds to help us run our services.

Our Volunteers offer from just a few hours per week to one or two whole days depending on the service. Volunteering may suit you if you are unemployed but looking for experience to return to work, students wishing to work in this field, part-time workers, retired people or those with time to spare.

We offer you:

  • Training and support.
  • Travel expenses.
  • A friendly atmosphere.
  • Social activities.
  • Free tea and coffee!

If you have a couple of hours or more a week to spare, look at our list of volunteering opportunities.
