ACB have 100 Volunteers!

13 May 2010

I&A Volunteer

June 2010 is a special time at Age Concern Bristol. We will celebrate National Volunteers Week with refreshments and hot food at Café Retreat, our small way to say a big thank you to all our amazing volunteers who make a real difference to the lives of older people in Bristol every day. This year is extra special because we will also be celebrating the news that we now have 100 volunteers!

Last year our volunteers gave us an incredible 7356 hours of their precious time, experience and knowledge. That works out to an average of over 600 hours every month and it’s something we want to tell people about.

Our volunteers carry out lots of different and very rewarding roles, including day centre and footcare volunteers, gardeners, handy people, advisors, researchers, internet shoppers, and befrienders, as well as admin roles.

If you would like to become part of this amazing 100 strong team please contact Wendy Hodsdon, Volunteer Co-ordinator at Age Concern Bristol on 0117 929 7537 or email wendyhodsdon@ageconcernbristol.org.uk
