We are a local independent charity, helping hundreds of older people who live within the Bristol Boundaries. We offer a range of services from information and advice to help with gardening. We manage to run a lot of our services thanks to dedicated volunteers and some paid staff.

The Age Concern Bristol website was created in September 2005 to encourage more people to be aware of what we can offer and how you can help us.

The purpose of the site is not to replace the face to face and telephone services we offer, but to give you information to help guide you to the particular service that you need, hopefully making it easier and quicker for you.

We have tried to make this website easy to use. For those of you who are not familiar with what we do, we have used the headings:

• Your home - physical aspects, maintaining your home, housing issues such as rent arrears.
• Your money - benefits, pensions, personal insurances, work and wills.
• Your lifestyle - leisure, health and wellbeing and staying independent.

For those of you who are familiar with what we do already or those who want to know a bit more about our organisation, the About Us section gives a brief summary of our services with contact details.
